COMPLETE SPORTS MARKETING SOLUTIONS ON THE ISLE OF SKYE
Hugh Campbell Marketing were contacted mid July 2016 by Mark MacDonald who was in the process of establishing a new community sports group called "Skye Community Sports club". We sat down initially with Mark and created an action plan for developing his business. As this was a new organisation the first requirement was a brand development and logo design. Mark had a very specific idea of what he wanted which was an iconic Isle of Skye landmark in the format of a professional football team badge. It was decided to incorporate the popular Old Man of Storr rockface on Skye in to his business logo. You can see the results below:
With a logo design now approved we then went to work on the other marketing items Mark had requested including teamware, 1/3 A4 double sided flyers, business cards, adaptive website design with fully functional event calendar and a corporate video with motion graphics. After much research we sourced a design and supplier for the club kit. You can view the designs below:
With the business branding and teamwear in place we turned our attention to the business digital marketing. Before we could begin the design we arranged a photoshoot where participants were offered sessions free of charge and video and photos were taken for business marketing purposes. In total the photoshoot took 4 hours and covered a variety of sports and age groups. We also interviewed some participants as-well as Mark for the promotional corporate video we were also producing. You can see the results below:
Having acquired a mix of photo and video we then began work on the Skye Community Sports Website. The website would be used to encourage session participation and Mark also required an events calendar which he could regularly update. The solution was to integrate a "Tockify" calendar which would allow Mark to login through their website and add events as required. This calendar was then added to our website design with a widget in Adobe Muse.
For the design we wanted to convey the laid back and friendly nature of the organisation and also the age groups that they were targeting. An educational style font was chosen and then design was crisp and clear with a hamburger navigation menu clearly visible at the top of each page. We then set up business social media pages and branded the profile images and banners with corporate colour's and design. The result was a professional yet friendly feeling design with easy to use responsive calendar.
After the website design was approved be created branded social media pages including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Google+ and integrated them in to the design. The site was also set up with Google Analytics to allow Mark to track website traffic. The final marketing material Mark required was a 1/3 A4 double sided flyer and professionally designed business cards. You can see examples of these at the top and bottom of this page. We again used Photography from the photoshoot and matched the corporate branding, colour's and graphics used on the website to the print material. One of the advantages to Mark for hiring us to do all of his marketing requirements was brand consistency. This is hugely important in business and allowed for consistent visuals, themes and messages to be conveyed across the Skye Community Sports marketing portfolio.
Speaking of our service business owner Mark MacDonald added "Hugh Campbell Marketing were recommended to me by friends and having seen some of the work they had produced I decided to hire their services to help to launch my business. They were patient and professional in helping me to get the business branding right and from their we have ended up with a highly professional and visually impressive website, corporate video, teamwear and print material. I would have no hesitation in recommending Hugh Campbell Marketing to others."
Business owner Hugh Campbell added "When Mark told us what he was planning to do I thought it was fantastic and I was delighted he had decided to get us involved in helping him to promote the idea. We are confident that now Mark has his professional marketing base established this will give him the platform to develop both his business and sport in the Isle of Skye. We would like to wish him the best of luck with his new venture."
